When picking up this book and gazing at a labelled hottie, I thought I was going to be splattered with a more explicit biology lesson, but after using a microscope on the teeny tiny text, the facts to identify any 'Bad Boy' are unveiled. Score! However, this book can only be truly appreciated once you look past the fact that you are reading the book of an author who thinks he is the bees knees. Even though Santagati's self-confident and self-centred personality undoubtedly creeps through, this book is written in your interest ladies! Despite his lack of 'proper' research, it is obvious when reading it that this man is a trustworthy source and knows his stuff! To make this guide all the more reliable it has been crowned 'The New York Times Bestseller.'

With a ton of experience how can we not trust this guy, girls? He writes stories of past relationships, showing the 'Do's and Don'ts' of all scenarios, leaving me giggling and wanting to make a mental note of all his great advice.

Structurally, the book is very well laid out. Starting at the hunt for the perfect bloke, to the beginning of the relationship and working its way towards 'Housebreaking the Beast,' Santagati's 'Manual' ticks all relationship queries. Each section and chapter is laid out as a step by step guide and allows the reader to jump to the chapters that they feel will be most helpful, very easily. Each technique is explained effectively and often related to a personal experience showing how reliable his methods are. Also, each technique is broken down into a numbered step-by-step guide that is easy to follow and to put into practice!

To many single women the idea of playing the dating field can be scary and a sometimes unsuccessful game. Fortunately the author knows how to jump inside the female brain and knows what makes us tick. Thus, this book is written from a feminine perspective. He covers areas from make-up, to dressing for all occasions and your body type as well as how to react and behave in various dating situations and points in the relationship. He'd even give Gok Wan a run for his money! However, even though Santagati appears to be a pro in the dating world and claims that every gent is a 'Bad Boy' inside, you must remember that he's only one guy out of millions and not all men share his interests and believe that women with small breasts shouldn't wear bras! Therefore, without statistical evidence, analysing this book is a bit of a guessing game but in my opinion its dependable advice.

Throughout the book, Santagati maintains a captivating, flirty tone and it comes as no surprise that he is popular with the ladies. However, each handy tip is unfortunately equipped with a cheesy joke, sexual innuendo or the odd pun. At first it was cute and made me laugh out loud as it was nice to hear a guy comparing men to dogs for a change. But later his repetitive corny remarks became tiring, less funny and occasionally diverted attention away from the facts and advice.

After thinking this book couldn't get any better I arrive and the 'Q&A' section. In these last few pages the author presents the top ten questions he's been asked over the years and most importantly the advice he gave. All ten questions will surely relate to common problems, as they are the top ten most frequently asked questions. Also, at the end of the book he gives his website where women can post questions to him to gain considered relationship advice.

Who should read it?

Any female! Santagati targets singles to booty calls to cheeky flings, all the way to making your man marriage material. This book is written for women to enable them to read a male brain as well as analyse their behaviour and turn it to your advantage without changing him. As long as you can put aside the fact that the author isn't a specialist and that his advice is solely based on his own experiences then I assure you that you will learn something and enjoy the process.
